1. What we take responsibility for

We, the company Diva Teppich Center, proprietor Yavuz Özdemir, Neumarktstraße 40, 42103 Wuppertal, Germany, are aware that it is extremely important for you that we handle all your personal data with the utmost care. As persons responsible pursuant to Art. 4 para. 7 GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION, we guarantee you that all personal data will be processed in accordance with currently valid data protection law.

2. When we collect data

a) Collection of personal data when visiting our website

When using the website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to guarantee stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION):

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access Status/HTTP Status Code
  • the amount of data transferred in each case

b) Collection of personal data when using the contact form

When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide (your e-mail address and your name) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context after the storage is no longer necessary, or limit the processing if statutory retention obligations exist. (Legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION)

c) Collection of personal data for order processing

We also collect and process personal data within the scope of order processing if you provide it to us for the execution of a contract or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. A deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can take place via a message to us at any time. We store and use the data provided by you for contract processing. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked in consideration of tax and commercial retention periods and deleted after expiry of these periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or a legally permitted further use of data has been reserved by our site, about which we will inform you accordingly below. d) Use of your data for direct advertising

aa) Subscribe to our e-mail newsletter

If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will send you regular information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The indication of further possibly data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means that we will not send you an e-mail newsletter until you have expressly confirmed to us that you agree to the sending of the newsletter. We will then send you a confirmation e-mail asking you to confirm that you wish to receive future newsletters by clicking on an appropriate link.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration so that we can trace any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later point in time. The data collected by us when registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purpose of addressing you in advertising by means of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a corresponding message. After your cancellation, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list immediately, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data in excess thereof, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

bb) Advertising by letter post

Based on our legitimate interest in personalised direct mail, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and - if we have received this additional information from you within the framework of the contractual relationship - your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business name in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 letter f GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION and to use them for sending interesting offers and information on our products by letter post.

3. Data protection for children

It is important to us that we protect the privacy of children. We therefore do not knowingly collect the data of children and young people who have not yet reached the end of their 16th year.

4. Cookies help you and us

Cookies help us to adjust our offer to your interests and to save your personal preferences. These are small text files that are stored on your computer and are saved by your browser. You can prevent the saving of cookies by selecting “disable cookies” in your browser.

5. Facebook social plugins

Use of Facebook social plugins Social Plugins (“plugins”) of the social network Facebook are used on our website. Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are labelled with a Facebook logo or the designator “Facebook Social Plugin”. 6. Twitter Social Plugins

We use “social plugins” from twitter.com with Twitter and the Retweet functions that are operated by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. If you use the Retweet functions, the websites you have visited will be disclosed to third parties and associated with your Twitter account. 7. Pinterest Social Plugins

These internet sites include use of plugins from the social network Pinterest, which is operated by Pinterest Inc., 635 High Street, Palo Alto, CA, 94301, USA (“Pinterest”).

If you visit a web page on our website that contains such a plugin, a link is established between your computer and the Pinterest servers, and the plugin is displayed on the website via a communication to your browser. 9. Information on Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will however be truncated by Google beforehand within the area of member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area In exceptional cases only, the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Please note that Google Analytics has been supplemented on this website with the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (this is known as “IP masking”).

We also use Google signals. When you visit our website, Google Analytics collects, among other things, your location, search history and YouTube history, as well as demographic data (visitor data). This data can be used for personalised advertising with the help of Google signals. If you have a Google account, the visitor data from Google Signal will be linked to your Google account and used for personalised advertising messages. The data is also used to compile anonymised statistics on the user behaviour of our users.  A transfer of data takes place: to the independent data controller Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (https://cloud.google.com/). The legal basis for the transfer of data to Google Ireland Limited is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO.

10. Address validation and verification via Google Maps API

Description and scope of data processing

For the purpose of address validation and address verification, the following data entered in the online shop are processed during the ordering process

     - street, house number, postcode, the city, as well as the country

will be transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5 W5, Ireland ("Google").

Legal basis for the processing:

Address validation serves to fulfil the purchase contract concluded with us. In this way, it is checked whether the ordered goods can be delivered at all to the address specified during the ordering process. In this respect, Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b) GDPR represents a legal basis. Another legal basis for this form of data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

Purpose of data processing:

Address validation and verification enables us to check whether the goods you ordered can be delivered to the address you provided at all. This is our legitimate interest. Furthermore, this is also in your interest, as such a comparison of the address reveals any input errors in the address you provided during the order process, and you can correct this as a result.

11. notice to Ve Interactive

We use the services of Ve Interactive DACH GmbH (Französische Straße 47, 10117 Berlin; hereinafter "Ve"). In providing its services, Ve collects personal data from end users who visit our websites. Ve uses cookies and other similar technologies for this purpose. More information about the technologies Ve uses is available in Ve's Cookie Policy. A list of the purposes for which Ve collects personal information is listed in Ve's Privacy Policy. In general, Ve collects personal data from end users through the use of cookies, including but not limited to contact information and behavioural data. Ve uses this personal data to draw conclusions about end users' respective personal preferences and to personalise the end user's web experience, for example, by displaying personalised offers when visiting customer websites or similarly personalising the customer website to the end user and displaying personalised advertising when visiting customer websites or third party websites. End users can prevent the processing of their personal data by Ve through various means. 12. Transfer of personal data

Your data will not be transferred to third parties without your explicit consent. The only exceptions from this are the service provision partners that we need for fulfilling the contractual relationship (e.g. shipping companies). In these cases, we strictly observe the provisions of the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz). The scope of the data transfer is limited to the minimum level necessary.

Furthermore, we can, at the request of a relevant agency, provide information on stored data on an individual basis if this is necessary for purposes of criminal investigations, for meeting statutory requirements of the German constitutional protection agencies or the German intelligence service (BND) or for asserting intellectual property rights. In doing so, we follow the statutory provisions of section 14, para. 2 of the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz).
